Travertine vs. concrete pavers
Material is the biggest price lever on a pool deck. Concrete pavers are the value option and come in many colors; travertine is a premium natural stone that stays cooler and looks high-end, but runs toward the top of the range. What drives the price
- Tearing out an old deck: removing cracked concrete or old pavers adds cost before we start.
- Layout & cuts: curves around the pool, spa and lanai mean more cutting and labor than a simple rectangle.
- Coping & drainage: tying into pool coping and grading for proper drainage away from the water.
- Sealing: a quality seal protects against chlorine, salt and UV — well worth it here.
